that is comfortable to you). You will need:

Yellow Yarn – 250 g

White yarn – 60 g

Bright and light pink yarn – about 50 g in total

– Toy stuffing (polyester fiberfill)

– Yarn needle to sew parts of the toy

– 2 black beads for eyes (I use 6 mm glass beads), long thin needle and strong black thread to sew them

(I use DMC Perle Cotton #8 or #5)

You can use safe eyes instead

Arms(make 2)

Crochet 8 separate fingers (two of them will be thumbs); don’t fasten off on 2 of them to continue

crocheting arms.

Fingers and thumbs (make 8)

1 – 2 ch, 6 sc into the second ch from the hook

2 – (1 sc, inc) 3 times (9)

3 – 5 – 9 sc (3 rounds), fasten off leaving a small tail for sewing on 3 fingers from 4.

Don’t fasten off on the 4th finger; continue to crochet hand.

To the next 2 stitches after the loop where you finished crocheting the 4th finger and haven’t fastened off

sew 2 stitches of the 2nd finger. Skip next 2 stitches of the 2nd finger. Sew 2 stitches of the 3rd finger to the

next stitches of the 2nd finger. Sew with small yarn tails that you have left after fastening off.

You will have 3 fingers sewed in a row (2 stitches to 2 stitches) and 19 stitches to crochet the hand in.

on the 3rd finger: (1 sc, dec) 2 times, 1 sc

on the other side of the 2nd finger: dec, 1 sc

10 – 6 sc, dec, 9 sc (16)

11 – (dec, 1 sc) 4 times, 2 dec (10)

Staff each finger, thumb and hand a little.

You don’t need to mark the round beginning crocheting the arms. Just crochet till you have the length you

like. I made arms 22 rounds long. Staff a little while crocheting

12 – 33 – 10 sc (22 rounds), fasten off leaving a small yarn tail for sewing

Crochet two arms the same. When sewing them make sure that thumbs are turned forward and a little

inwards. Don’t stuff the upper part of arms or stuff them very softly. Otherwise your monkey will not be

able to hug you J

Fasten off on one leg. Don’t fasten off on the second leg;

continue to crochet the body from this point. Stuff the legs more

firmly than arms but still not like a stone.

Don’t fasten off; after the arms are sewed you will continue to crochet.

Count 3 stitches before the mark, to the 4th, 5th and 6th stitches before the mark sew one arm in three

stitches (the thumb should be turned forward). Use the yarn tails that you have left on each arm for sewing

or do it with some other thread if your yarn is too fluffy to sew with. Sew the second arm to the 11th, 12th

and 13th stitches after the mark (make sure that the thumb is also turned forward)

You have 12 stitches between the arms in front and 12 stitches at the back. Continue crocheting the body.

Pin the ears symmetrically to the head. Try out a few different positions to choose which one you like

better. And sew ears bending their middles a little inside.

Sew the feet to the legs. Wider parts (the first round) should be turned forward and a little apart. Sew the

tail to the bottom of the back (the last bending on the tail is turned up).

Tummy

With white. Crochet the tummy the same side out as the muzzle.

sewing. Pin it to the body horizontally and sew. With thin black thread embroider a small X for a navel.

«Socks»

Begin with white and crochet in rows with a bigger hook size.

1 – with white 13 ch, 1 ch with light pink, don’t cut white yarn

2 – with light pink 12 sc beginning from the 2nd ch from hook ch, fasten off and cut light pink yarn

 leave the last white loop

4 – to the row beginning attach bright pink yarn, pull a loop do 12 sc, and fasten off.

Insert the hook into the white loop that you have left and crochet around with the reverse stitch.

When you crocheted around all the edges fasten off leaving a small yarn tail. With a needle make a loop

and fix it with a small knot. Sew small buttons. Weave in all the tails. Put the “socks” on your monkey’s

legs.

Scarf

Crochet in rows. Fasten off after each row leaving a small yarn tail (about 2 inches). Join the next color to

the row beginning also leaving 2-inch tails.

Crochet with a bigger hook size.

To the last bright pink stitch join white yarn (also leaving a 2-inch yarn tail at the beginning) and crochet

one row with the reverse stitch. Fasten off.

Take the scarf so that the right side is turned to you and white chains are up. Connect white yarn to the left

ch and crochet one row with the reverse stitch in the unworked loops of white chains.

Cut 2 5-inch pieces of bright pink yarn and 2 5-inch pieces of light pink yarn. Fold them in halves and

connect to the edges. Connect bright pieces to the edges of the light pink row and light pieces to the edges

of the bright pink row. Cut the fringe on each side of the scarf to the same length.

for hugging!
