ASSEMBLE:

*Sew neck and chest piece to body at round 5 of body. You will have

to push the two pieces together tightly and pinning round 5 of the

body to the neck piece.

*Sew the head to the top of the neck, tilting the muzzle in a downward

direction.

*Sew the legs with attached hooves to the sides of the body. Front legs

on the side of the chest muscle, and back legs at the back of the body

piece. Be sure to face the wide side of the hoof forward.

*Sew the assembled eyes to the front of the face. Next, bend the eyelids

in an arch and form around the eyes. The fold is sewn to the head

and the eyeballs should fit against the inside of the eyelid arch.

*Sew the nostrils to the top edge of the muzzle. Using the beginning

ring as a sewing guide, stitch the nostril down in the front. Working

around toward the back, and keeping the hdc sts upward to form the

cave, sew the back portion of the ring onto the muzzle.

*Sew the ears to each side of the head pointing upward. Put a “tac” in

the ear against the head to hold it in place and keep the ears in an

upward position.

*To make the mane: start on the head about one inch above and

between the eyes. Use the Posts to do a single crochet fringe to about

one inch from the body section. Fringe is alternating Charcoal/Black

and Grey Heather/Black.

*Attach bridle around the muzzle. Attach reins to bridle underneath

the muzzle.

*Place the blanket on the donkey’s back and the saddlebags over the

blanket.
